Gooodmorning everyone,Here's my latest project!!Its about that time of year, and I wanted to come up with something cool to give to my mom, and dad. They're both pretty hard to shop for, my dad is "that guy who has everything" and my mom is the same way. They both have a very limited range of hobbies, and I never know what to get either of them. So, I looked around for some ideas of things I could make myself, and came up with these horse-shoe coat hanger things. They're something everyone needs... Because everyone has a lot of... IDK... Look, they're something handmade I thought both my parents would like, so thats what I went with.Anyway, I got my "sister" Heather to help me, and we got to work. We made a pair of them over the course of the afternoon and I think they came out pretty well...The video tells more, the cool thing was that Heather has developed an interest in welding... Not much of one, maybe I should say she's kind of curious about it, and everything I spend hours doing in the garage, so I had her take the lead in this project and she did... Well... Great. Anyway, enjoy the video everyone. Hope you're all having a nice week... Just thought I'd share [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28CvYYJ33wQ[/ame]Edit: The video didnt want to embed, but we got it to work. Enjoy, everyone Last edited by Lanse; 12-13-2012 at 12:59 PM.[Account Abandoned 8/8/16 Please Do Not Attempt Contact Or Expect A Reply]. See you on YouTube! -ChuckE2009

Reply:Its still better than Facebook, update wise.To the mods on this site, I'd just like to take a moment to thank you for NOT f'ing with the layout all the time. This place looks the same as it did in like 2009 when I first started looking through it. Its fully functional, and one of my biggest pet peeves is when you get used to a site, then they totaly redesign it for NO reason. My guess is there are people who work on the sites employed by the owners, and when theres nothing to fix, they re-design it so they stay busy at work. Its annoying as ****. Anyway, thanks for NOT doing that. Sorry for the rant... I've successfully gotten the video on a couple other forums... Maybe the mods could change something to allow the new embed code? Its called iframe or something... Idk...[Account Abandoned 8/8/16 Please Do Not Attempt Contact Or Expect A Reply]. See you on YouTube! -ChuckE2009

Reply:Awsome Lanse! Glad to see you incorporating your sis in your videos and teaching her a trade! Those will make great gifts, very cool bud! I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
Reply:Awesome presentation Lanse. Not only a nice project but a very entertaining video, one of the better all around videos I have seen. You illustrated the proper use of safety equipment, glasses and ear protection as well as leather gloves and coat. My only caution would be against the shooting of grinding dust into a trash can full of flammable materials, for obvious reasons (an empty container would be commendable however) Anyway, thanks for taking the time to create it.....One more comment if I may. As well as attractive, your sister Heather appears to have some good hand-eye skills. I know of what I speak. Prior to my retiring, I was fortunate enough to have spent the last ten years of my career working in the model shop at a leading industrial design school. After watching your video, I'm of the opinion she has a natural ability to work with her hands, and obviously likes doing so. Kudos to the both of you......Thanks again for the entertainment, mike
Reply:Nice project and video. Buy your sister a HAT for Christmas to protect her hair. I like the ear plug touch and color.
Reply:Lanse, neat Christmas gift idea! You're lucky to have a sister like Heather who likes to get out and work with you on stuff like that. Most are afraid they will "break a nail"!!!You're also lucky on the shoes, too...the only horseshoes I come across are the old take-offs that are rusty and the grooves and holes are full of horsesh*t. |
