Some of you may remember earlier this year I put together a grinder stand......http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=110761Then I saw Lanse use some of the truck bed liner spray paint and I've been wanting to try it ever since.....I bought some and used it on the grinder stand........I sure do like it......A few pics....... Reply:That stuff is nice. Grinder stand looks great. I used it on the front and rear inner fenders of my truck. Then used the Dupli-Color spray on bed liner on my rockers and bottom of my doors. I've had good results thus far. Everything has held up so far.Before:After:-Pat
Reply:I use the Duplicolor when I need metal to have a textured look in ornamental pieces.
Reply:Gotta agree, I've used a lot of it on cars and various other projects. Just like most paints, proper prep is the key.If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.
Reply:I didn't realize they make it in a little can, that's convenient.I use the u-pol raptor lining in my trucks. It's what my supplier carries, and it's relatively cheap for the quantity you get out of it. It's just a pain if you only have a little painting to do. I will say that it's not as good as the professional stuff, but I don't know how well that would hold up to me anyway.IW Local 580 NY, NY

Reply:Love the duplicolor bed liner, the rustoleum not so much. I use the duplicolor all the time on my truck accessories(bumpers, sliders, racks, etc) Sent from my droid razr maxx using tapatalk2
Reply:I am going with Durabak. Good stuff and fairly priced.Millermatic 211PowerPlasma 50s
Reply:Glad you tried it out!!Yeahhh, I really like it. It looks awesome, and its far more durable than paint. Only bad side is that:1) Its expensive2) Its NOT scratch resistant. Sun and chemical resistant, yes, scratch, no.Im told it is very scratch resistant if applied THICK. Which would cost a fortune unless its a really small part...Looks really good tho. I plan to buy a few more cans myself [Account Abandoned 8/8/16 Please Do Not Attempt Contact Or Expect A Reply]. See you on YouTube! -ChuckE2009
Reply:Paint job looks great. Grinder stand looks tippy. Real footpring (between the contact points of the casters, not the base plate itselff) looks smaller than the grinder itself. Whatch out!Mikel

Reply:I am in process of building some metal bolt storage bins and drawers for tools - how do ya"ll think it would hold up being used in this form daily on a service truck. Its going to be very hard to prep the bolt bin since it is all little compartments but it is always vibrating and moving while going down the road so it needs something good to hold up to this enviroment.   I tryed to have local guy powder coat the first bin , but he didnt want to. Kind of disappointing since it was only for shop use and i thought would have held up really well ????  I told him i didnt care if it wasnt perfect since it was a experiment anyway, but still no go.
Reply:Best one for trucks is MonstaLiner. You can roll it on or spray it on. I've winched my truck up rocks and against trees directly on it and have not scratched any off.The spray can liner is good for stuff that you want to have the look of bed liner on tho, nice idea for the grinder stand

Reply:The stand looks great, but how sturdy is it? It would be nice to have castors on a stand, but it looks like it would topple over pretty easily. I'm assuming that at least some if not all of the castors are locking, but still...]
