Picking up a ac/dc thunderbolt for $150

Found another deal on craigslist it's a newer model with accu set and an extra pistol grip style electrode holder and a 50' 8/3 cord looks like it is in great shape. As long as it strikes an arc is there anything else to look for?
Reply:Try it on DC. My brother found one but it would not work on DC . Ac was fine.The extension  cord and plug ends would be at least $100.00.
Reply:I bought one to have as a third machine on a sail boat marina I was building. The two helpers would get the two big machines and leave me with the Thunderbolt. I would weld one rod after another for an hour or more and never a problem. I think the duty cycle is way higher than they say it is. It was a great machine and served me well. I gave it to one of the hands when that job was over just because he had done such a good job.

Reply:Yep. If someone asks me told hold something for them that I have for sale I always tell them I'll hold it for them till some body shows up with cash in hand. $150 would have been a deal but not as good as the $60 I paid for the same machine last summerSafety 3rdGump
