Foot pedal for a MM210?

I am looking for a remote pedal switch for my mm210. Basically it is a remote switch to activate the gun when depressed. I would be using this for a rotary jig welding application. Anyone know if they offer one for my machine?

Reply:I will, if I can't buy one pre made.would you suggest I find an inline socket to go between the cord and the machine? Or hack into the existing cord? How Much power goes through the trigger?
Reply:I would just add a connector in parallel with the original. The current is probably quite small. Any switch should work.
Reply:Yes, it seems to be just two wires, pretty small guage. Would most Miller dealers carry the factory connector ends?

Reply:The manual says that when replacing a switch in the gun, polarity is not an issue, so all I need is an interupt switch. I just need to know how many amps it needs to carry.
Reply:After looking at the schematic, all I'm seeing is a microswitch that triggers something on the PC board in the machine.The switch in the gun is definitely a microswitch, and would have a max current capability of under 3 amps, though I doubt the relay or solid state device being triggered actually uses half an amp.You could probably get by electricly with something like thishttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=58169Appreciation Gains You Recognition-

Reply:I'd be a little hesitant to use the RS pedal, especially since they really don't give any specs, to say nothing of the fact I've had to replace every damn thing I ever got from Radio shack.In a welding environment you also probably want something that is metal and not plastic.Appreciation Gains You Recognition-
