I wanted a small cart that would work with my flux welder. As with any garage space is rapidly disappearing, so small was a must. top base is 12 7/8"X 10". The bottom base is 15"X15", with an overall height of only 25 1/4".  1 inch square tubbing at 1/8" thick, and 4 swivel 2" lockable casters, and black rubberized paint. Will post picture of welder on it when the rubber cures.  Be gentle im no pro. Reply:Or you could weld a flat plate(cap) on the ends of the tubing. If you plan on putting any weight on the top shelf you will need gussets or tubing cut to fit between the top shelf and the uprights. But otherwise, not too bad for a first cart with a small footprint. What machine are ya gonna put on it? Any plans for more than just the F/C machine for this cart?
Reply:I thought about the mitered corners after I got it welded, by then i thought it would be a good first mistake. lol  Something to learn from and i have plenty to learn. thanks for the input.JobSmart MIG125Lincoln AC225-SLincoln Pro-Mig 175Dewalt GrindersRidgid ChopsawIR Garage Mate CompressorAny thing worth doing, is worth doing right.
Reply:I will add some gussets later on depending on the weight issues I may have. Im running a jobsmart 125 flux machine, for now till I can get a better machine. maybe one day can upgrade.  Had thought of putting a tomb stone under it at some point and some plastic end caps for the tubbing.  thanks for the input.JobSmart MIG125Lincoln AC225-SLincoln Pro-Mig 175Dewalt GrindersRidgid ChopsawIR Garage Mate CompressorAny thing worth doing, is worth doing right.

Reply:Looks good. Was the primary purpose to raise the welder and put it on castors, or was is actually to save space? I don't think you've saved any space versus not having the stand (though I'm sure it's MUCH more convenient). One thing I would suggest for projects that may still need work is to hold off on the painting until it's actually "done". Adding a support, for example, would now be much more work than it would have been if it wasn't painted. I don't think I'll ever paint my table so that I always have the option of just taking some other accessory/feature/etc on in a few seconds. Also, tombstone's are 24" tall, so you wouldn't be able to fit one under there if the total height is less than 26". =(
Reply:Great job, but looks top heavy to me, and the hook looks crooked in all the pics. All in all since you just started, you did good bud! I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys

Reply:Looks good, now some add ons, a spool holder for extra spools, a place to hang your hood, heheSeriously though, better than luggin it around
Reply:Looks good. I concur on the top heavy comment. Be careful of cords or small items on the floor when wheeling it across the shop. A little momentum will tip that baby over I'd bet.
