Does anybody know what all the HTP Invertig 221 comes with? I primarily want the foot pedal that's why I ask..and do they sell it in a package with a water cooler or is that separate?  Thanks!
Reply:I had the invertig 200(that was their flagship at the time) from HTP. I asked for a package with everything pedal, hand control, cooler, heavy duty cart, regulators, flow meters and spares. They will build any kind of kit you want. The price cut gets better as you add more. Great people, great service and a very well made nice welder.
Reply:As per the HTP website..."The Invertig 221 package includes a 12 ½' long 17-Series air-cooled TIG torch, 12 ½’ long foot pedal, flowmeter and 70 minute TIG DVD." Water cooler would be separate as the unit can either be purchased as an air cooled or water cooled version. Just ordering a water cooled version will not get you a water cooler...just the required plumbing and electrical connections/assembly.  Again, as per HTP, for the dual voltage models anyway, "Our Dual Voltage model can be ordered with or without a Water Cooler."Lincoln PrecisionTig 275Miller 251Miller DialArc 250Bridgeport millHossfeld bender & diesLogan shaperJet 14 X 40 latheSouth Bend 9" 'C'Hypertherm 900Ellis 3000 band saw21"Royersford ExcelsiorTwo shops, still too many tools.
Reply:Do you recommend the water cooled version or no? It will be for home use for practice on mild steel and stainless
Reply:And some aluminum as well but that's later once I get better
Reply:Mine is air cooled. For what I do it's fine. I run short beads and lots of tack welds. If you plan on running a lot of aluminum you will more than likely want a water cooler. You can always add the cooler down the road if you feel you need it. They are a great machine and a great company. No complaints here!~Scott~You can see what projects I'm working on on my Facebook page.https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bucke...3595655?ref=hlbucket_of_bolts on Instagram HTP 221 DV
Reply:BucketObolts yeah I'm just gonna use it for home practice on mostly mild steel and stainless and I highly doubt I'll do aluminum often. .what all did your 221 come with? Did it have a foot pedal? And is the torch that it comes with CK? And the duty cycle is pretty good isn't it?
Reply:Yes it comes with a foot pedal, ck torch, ground , flowmeter and gas hose. All you need is gas, a plug and consumables.I dare you to try and hit the duty cycle.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
Reply:Dan sounds great! It had almost everything you need..lmfao I'm guessing that means it has a really good duty cycle :P

Reply:A new thread just to see what it comes with?  lol  You could have just gone to their website  If you plan to do aluminum (at whatever date) the water cooled torch and cooler will be worth it.  Air cooled torches can get so hot, the brass fitting that connects the hose to the torch, will subject the hose itself to very high temperatures and degrade it prematurely.  When I ordered mine, I went all out and got the dual-voltage option.  I figured if I'm gonna spend almost $3000, I might as well spend just a little over $3000 and not regret it later.I was pleasantly surprised with the foot pedal.  It was larger and heavier than I imagined, which IMO is a good thing.  It doesn't slide around and stays put, and has a non-slip surface texture so your shoe doesn't slip either, allowing you to focus on your dialing in your foot movements. The torches are CK, but without the label that says "CK Worldwide".  Very high quality stuff. The duty cycle is 20% @ 220A, so at 200@ the duty cycle is likely 25-30%.  Two-and-a-half to three minutes of welding at 200A is nothing to sneeze at.  Of course at 110V you're limited on amperage but I think I've used mine up to 120A or so.Last edited by Oscar; 06-17-2014 at 12:20 PM. 1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig!
