I was looking at Burco's MSG 200 gas power gen/welder. I was wondering if any of you have one of these and if so how do you like it?I was also wondering what the pricing would be on this welder? They do not have any prices on there web page which makes me think that they are asking an arm and a leg for one of these. Here is a link to Burco's web page Thanks for your help!!!
Reply:Years ago these units were sold through Harbor Freight. And at the time I think they sold for around $1000. Harbor Freight discontinued selling them several years ago but I dont know the reason why. I believe at the time the machine was listed as a Chicago Electric product and was made with only dc aux power only as compared to Burco offering a dc and ac aux power units. Its my guess they are actually made overseas.A few of my toys !LinuxMintManjaroMiller Roughneck 2E Lincoln WeldPak 100HTP MTS 160 Chicago Electric 80amp Inverter Victor O/A
Reply:I am wanting to purchase a gas driven portible welder. Most that I have come across are heavy "takes two people to carry". Burco is the only company that I have seen that makes a light weight portible welder.Does anyone know of any other companys that make a gas driven welder that is in the range of 50-80lbs?Thanks,
Reply:The closest to that weight that I have ever been aware of was Lincoln's Power Arc 4000 at about 160#. I had one for awhile and only sold it to move up to Lincoln's Ranger 8. When I had mine I used angle iron and mounted wheels on one end and added legs with a handle on the other. This made it pretty mobile but still was difficult to lift and handle into the back of a truck by one person. Check with Burco and find out a price and what kind of return policy the have in case you dont like their machine.A few of my toys !LinuxMintManjaroMiller Roughneck 2E Lincoln WeldPak 100HTP MTS 160 Chicago Electric 80amp Inverter Victor O/A
