Here is a rose I made the other day.  I plan on making a couple of them and making a steel vase for them.   I used 20 and 22 gauge for the pedals, hammered and textered and then rolled the pedals.  I also made leaves for them too just not pictured yet  Also the stem was made out of stainless steel rod stock. hammered to a head to hold the pedals on.

Reply:Fantastic bunch of roses! Great attention to details on the petals, impressive welding skills. Like to see them in the steel vase. Great job!_____________________-www.sawblade.com
Reply:I cut the roses basic pattern out on cnc plasma then drill the center hole and texture each petal.  then install onto the rose stem thats textured, all in all about 45 mins to a hour per rose. That is if I dont get caught off subject talking to someone or screwing off lol.  I have made a vase out of a piece of schedule 40 pipe.  I forged the bottom down to a point then upset the top and split it and upset the metal and draw it out to a big opening.  I have 6 roses done at the moment.  5 of them are finished with black oxide and the center of the rose is a stainless steel rose thats been heat colored and clear coated.  Im gonna scroll and forge a base for the vase then upload pics of the final work when its done. Glad you guys like them.
