Hey guys,Wanted to ask the guys with their B a question. I dont work with any b guys so i thought id ask here. How much grinding are you allowed to do in the test. Like if my gap closes can I open it up a touchIf I don't make it all the way from one tack to the next are you allowed to feather out the end of the root and then tie in. This will be my first crack at the test so I don't know all the rules and the outline they give doesn't really say. Thanks guys!!!!
Reply:Grinding is allowed. I believe there's a time restriction though. Maybe an hour and a half or two hours. You will tack the pipe the day before so make sure you weld through those tacks eliminating them completely beacuse 6010 tacks are prone to cracking. And give your self enough of a root gap so you won't fight it. good luck!
