Recommendations for tig cooler?

I have a PT225. And am finally getting around to getting it up and running. I'm looking to get a liquid cooler for it that's in the 300-400$ Price range. Could i get some recommendations? I saw the powercool w300 on ebay, besides the fact that it's made by everlast, it also seems to come with proprietary(ish) connections for the coolant.. So i don't think the powercool is worth the effort to get it working for me.I know i could build one from parts but at this time i'd prefer to not have to source parts. I wouldn't mind buying used but i would like it to come with a decent warranty. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Reply:Search eBay a lot.  You can sometimes find a used cooler in that range.  The HTP/Everlast/Chicom cooler all looks the same to me.  A used bernard and sometimes a Miller Coolmate 3 or 4 can be had near $400.  Stay away from the Coolmate 1.I bought an off Brand cooler for $100 that looked like a Coolmate 3 externally and was pleasantly surprised when it actually was.  Miller made them for export.  These are tough to come by but a great value.  You can hook your torch to a garden hose while you are searching.
Reply:I agree about the htp/everlast/chicom's all looking the same. They can be had for under 300 most days but having to make adapters (although not a deal breaker) is kinda crappy. I'll keep my eye out for a good used one. I bought a used coolmate 1, and after lapping and new seals all i could get out of her was around 10 psi... it had too much wear and a new brass pump was around 200$ alone... So, that's why im leaning towards brand-new or new-ish with some kinda warranty or guarantee....
Reply:I have a very old Bernard type with a Procon pump which was given to me as the stainless tank was destroyed. I set the pump assembly on top of a "Rubbermaid" tub and it works well. I've used 50/50 anti-freeze/distilled water solution and have never had a problem since I've had it, (25+ years).SlobPurveyor of intimate unparalleled knowledge of nothing about everything.Oh yeah, also an unabashed internet "Troll" too.....

Reply:I love my Coolmate one. Really much quieter then my Binzel 3 (Miller Coolmate 3) I had. (all with good factory tig coolant) Had a radiator one, and Bernard 3500 too. The Coolmate one was a bit loud at first with some weird noises/rattles.. Topped it off to totally full,and it very quiet now, and it runs very smooth. Best cooler I have owned so far.. Fits where a Coolmate 3 will not, and is a perfect match for my 200 amp tig.. Reply:I figured I'd let you guys know that I went with the "HTP Arctic Chill 5460" off ebay from a USA shop. I'll let you guys know how it looks once I get it and run it for a few hours. Thanks for all the advice!
