About 98% of what I do is all aluminum work. I have been using 5052 sheets on my cnc table, cut them weld them. I use the 5052 over the 6000 series stuff because it allows for bending without cracking.Recently found that 3003 is only about 30cents more for a 2'x2' sheet. What are the pros/cons to each? Wondering if i should get some 3003 on the next order.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
Reply:5052 has better corrosion resistance. I imagine it depends on your application. You might read through this:http://www.metalsdepot.com/products/...tml?page=sheet
Reply:Thanks, that helps. But why is the 3003 good for fuel tanks as opposed to the 5052?Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
