Reply:Hello,It is strictly DC and no water cooler. My opinion, it's marginal at best. You can take the same amount of money and find a good used Lincoln or Miller ac/dc machine that would give a lot more welder for the same money. You should try to get a machine that uses a water cooler for the torch, this will allow you to continue to weld when the air cooled has gotten too hot to handle. Just my opinion.Ric
Reply:For the difference in price I would go ahead and get a Miller Maxstar 150. You might want to look on E-bay for the Thermal Arc " Dragster " series.DennisThermal Arc 185-TSWMillermatic Challenger 172VictorO/AAtlas Craftsman 12 by 24 LatheEsab PCM-875Wholesalem Tool Mill-Drill
Reply:any TIG welder can be set up to run a coolerbut i would stick to one of the bigger names, too many ****ed off people trying to save a few $$ and getting less than they payed for. the maxstar is a great lil DC TIG but like said if you want ac/dc the TA-185 is still the best $$ out but getting close to the Miller dynasty witch would be my first choice but i got the TA-185 4 months ago when it was still $1700.no mater what you get its best to stick to good brands and if you never herd of it odds are good there is a reason you havent. summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time. |
