Need some help ASAP!

Hi all I need some suggestions for whaty to use to cut 1/4" steel plate. Plasma is out of the question, Unless I farm the work out. Any help is appreciatedThanksDustin

Reply:Thanks riley, Im thinking I might hafta farm it out to a machine shop. I have an angle grinder, but need to make wavy cuts with some precision. I dont have an O/A setup yet. Is a sabre saw like a jigsaw or a saw-zaw?
Reply:A sabre saw has a bottom plate on it and a  pistol grip on the top and you have a lot of control.  Use plenty of oil and run about half speed.  It would be slow.  If you have a large quantity you may want to have it sheared or if you have curves, cut in a shop with a torch or plasma cutter.
Reply:a "sawsall" with a metal cutting blade and some candle wax will go thru alot more than you might think... ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:I might hafta givce it a shot next time, I took it down the street to the local fab shop to have it cut. Not sure what its gonna run me yet...

Reply:Thanks all for the insight, but after the shop dragging their feet for 24 hours, I cut the damn things myself with my angle grinder and a hand file....4 hours later...all is good
Reply:Why not an Oxy-Acetylene cutting torch? that's what I use and it cuts beautifully.
