Reply:The two big migs look to be rebadged century welders. Just more expensive. Sears also had the near identical century welders in their catalog last year. The controls and fuses on the front are identical, just rearranged a little to make it look different. They have the Euro connect gun atachment. The century welders are imported from italy and made by Cebora. Whether Sears gets them from Century or has a deal directly with Cebora is another question. Century, Marquette, solar, etc. used to make their own stuff up in Minneaplois I was told but got tired of all the headaches of govt. rules and regs. and just started importing. I know Cebora also makes the 25 amp/110 volt century plasma cutter (see at northerntools) and a near idential one is sold by snapon labeled as blue point which is also a cebora machine. The century is $950 shiped free from northerntools and the snap-on is $1700 for the same machine. The century is even better since it has some diagnostic lights on the front that the blue point doesn't. I think the clarke welders are also imported from italy. At least they used to be. I even think that the Htp machines are italian. Seems like italy or china is where most are made now. The italian machines are very good quality I've been told.
