looks like an older Syncrowave 250 DX/runner packagehttp://binghamton.craigslist.org/hvo/4580190035.htmlMiller Multimatic 255
Reply:$1400 wouldn't be bad in my book. $1000 would be a great deal. Steve might have a better idea on current value. Start low, you can always move up.Looks like it has the cooler and water cooled torch, pedal and flow meter, so other than a cylinder and consumables, you'd be good to go. Syncro 250's are great machines..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:I gave serious consideration to buying its twin at $2500, but couldn't pull the trigger. Power consumption was a concern, it lacked some features of the Dynasty I really wanted. They are available new, I don't know how many are still being bought. Every one who has used one loves it. I haven't used one. Can you adjust frequency? For aluminum, I consider frequency along with balance to be essential. My Dialarc HF was fixed at 50/50 balance, and 60 HZ. I could compensate for balance with cleaning. There really isn't a good way to compensate for frequency. 60 is too low!
Reply:I tend to think of around $1500 for an older syncrowave, maybe a bit more with a cooler and water cooled torch. I might be willing to pay up to $2500 for a newer model.I have a Syncrowave 200, and for my work I would prefer it to an older syncrowave 250, mostly because the 200 has pulse.Sometimes it depends on how urgent your need is, of course. If I had to have the additional power for a current project I would be willing to pay somewhat more.Sculptures in copper and other metalshttp://www.fergusonsculpture.comSyncrowave 200 Millermatic 211Readywelder spoolgunHypertherm 600 plasma cutterThermal Arc GMS300 Victor OA torchHomemade Blacksmith propane forge
