Reply:Take some pictures of the welds.Not saying you can't do it, but as a new welder (I fit this class also) everyone can help you. If you have no penetration you do want to know on this as if it breaks and the tank somehow falls...All that said your doing good. The biggest thing I see is on the vertical part the lower horizontal bar does not look straight.Take alittle time to get some good fitup. That is key to welding.I will also add if you want I will post a pic of my welding cart, (looks like junk to me) but it's what I had. No plan whatsoever, just cutting and welding. Very bad fit on some of it, and very quick. Overall it's not to bad, the horizontal's for the tank yeah. They do have enough surface area to make a good connection if you will, and the tank does not sit on them so it works for now. Eventually I will get around to making a nice one. |
