Threw together a small welding table to get me up off the floor and i added a grinder attachment to it. So i can take it off easy when not in use and store it away as not to interfere with anything i may be working on. Miller 180 Auto-Set

Reply:Good looking table! I like the receiver hitch idea for a removable vice. I'm going to add one to my new table this weekend.
Reply:You guysThe ultimate goal of most stick welders is to make a bead as smooth as a properly done MIG weld. WHY DO Y'ALL INSIST ON THESE SNAKE SKIN LOOKING WELDS WITH MIG?????The manufactures of these semi automated machines do their best to make a machine capable of laying down a smooth weld. Why do you guys try to make it look like 5p ??"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/

Reply:Your gonna like having the receiver hitch attachment on the table. There are many possibilities of what can be mounted this way. Vice, pipe vice, bench top drill press, if you have two on one side of the table lined up with each other, you can have a table extension you can add and subtract. I made a small shelf to go on mine that holds the chopsaw table level with the table top. Long stock can be supported by the table while cutting. Looks like we have the same chopsaw. I made the platform big enough that I can swivel the saw to make angled cuts too. I put a hitch attachment on each corner of my table and they are mounted lower than yours, welded to the table frame.
