Reply:Interesting, but even with a chunk of aluminum there wouldn't there still be atmosphere on the backside of the joint instead of argon or some sort of coverage?Do you have a better pic of the backside of the weld?

Reply:I do this as well, its great to prevent warping too. I have a bunch of aluminum in various shapes and sizes that I use exclusively for stainless fabrication. Nice work.
