Has anyone looked into one of these? I have a demo video coming in the mail. I couldn't find a price on it. It doesn't come with a plasma torch, you use a regular plasma torch. It hooks up to a regular PC. You supply the torch and PC so I'm assuming this thing is mainly software and motors? Anyone know what they cost?DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:Fuzz - yes, both Jamlit and I have looked into them. I have one of their demo DVD's and their literature. Very nice machine and nice software. I seem to recall they were around high 8,000 to low 9,000 range. They do have a leasing option. Run a search, there are a few threads on here and one was started by myself.John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com

Reply:I got the pricing just a short while ago. The price is 8980.00 US for the plasmaCam cutting machine w/ Controlling Software. It dosn't include the plasma cutter ot the computer/laptop to run the machine. The plasma cutter would need to be rated for the material you are planning to cut. The computer system dosn't need to be anything to fancy. The art Disk you will see on the DVD is 489.00 US. Their is shipping on the machine on top of listed prices. Its one cool machine and after watching the DVD I new it was the one I wanted. Getting one someday soon, I plan on getting the TD cutmaster 101 to go with it.Here is a link Lorenzo posted for me when I asked about the plasmaCam good site. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/Miller DVI2Lincoln Precision Tig 225Thermodynamics Cutmaster 38Everything else needed.
Reply:A very knowledgable guy over there is "Torchhead". Check out his site at www.candcnc.com. Once looking over his equipment, support and incredible knowledge, I will probably buy from him.John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:Seems to be cheap enough for what it can do. To bad I don't I don't have the budget for one right now. My wife would kill me. Thanks for the info guys. At our main shop (the one where all the offices are) they have 2 huge CNC plasma tables. The new one is a high definition plasma (whatever that means). They have no room in their shop and ours is huge, they won't give us the old table. I don't have access to them either. I don't guess I know to work it if I did.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools |
