I just completed this gate, it is a very simple design but I realy like how it turned out. It seems like all I make anymore are gates. Attached Images

Reply:Nice smooth curves, its what makes it so elegant. Any close ups? What are the dimensions of the frames and post. How did you bend the top frames (jig or roller)?Thanks for sharing.

Reply:Looks great, I like that roller. You wouldn't have any more pics of it? I have seen a few home made ones and I would like to attempt to make one myself. I'm a rook, but I'd like the challenge. Seems the dies are always the most difficult part ( not having a lathe ).Thanks for sharing, the gates look great.

Reply:Thanks for the pics.  That does look pretty simple to make.  I was thinking about using 4 all thread rods to bring the rollers together but the jack is pretty slick.  My thinking is that threaded rod would give more precise degree of bend and also never move.  If the jack is in good shape it shouldn't move anyway however.  Thanks, looks like I have another project to work on.
Reply:Hey I love the design of your gate. I want to scale it down and build a foot board and a head board for my bed. But I need to know more about your roller first. Awesome job too. It looks ascetically pleasing to the eye. Which is what I'm after.  I have all the material to build the roller. Pillow blocks, shaft, jack, angle and channel but please take a few more pics for us please. I just want to know how far apart your shafts are and how much clearance you need between the shaft and the channel. Thank you in advance.
