Tig welding aluminum.  Welding 3/32" sheet to 1/4".  The bead is vertical.  The hardest welds are going to be butting the 3/32 into the 1/4" at a 90.  Can I get some tips on how to accomplish these welds?
Reply:It's not as hard as you think.  The thicker piece will suck up alot of the heat.  Focus the arc preferentially on the thick piece and kinda wash it over to the thinner piece as you go.I welded .060 to 3/16" and it was alot easier than I expected.TA Arcmaster 300CM3XMT 304S22P12 suitcase feederX-Treme 12VSOptima pulserTA161SMaxstar 150STLHypertherm PM45OP setupStihl 020AVP, 039, 066 Magnum
Reply:crank the frequency up?  Any pulse?
Reply:High frequency always helps with narrowing the arc some, as does more EN/less cleaning action.
