Hey! So, I have a few basic courses under my belt. I'm no pro by any stretch of the imagination. Though, I am good with my hands and I have been able to learn relatively quickly. I originally had my mind set on going to Hobart, then TWS ended up making more sense at the time. Now, I'm learning that apprenticeships or internships might be the better route to follow. I'd like to do that as well as attend a trade school to gain alternative skills and certifications. I'd like to focus in structural or pipe and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for schools or any good unions or companies to work for having little experience in the trade? I mean my only known resource would be craigslist, unless any of you know more of a specialized place to go to look for trade work...any input is appreciated. Thank you very much.-Jess
Reply:Didn't we just go through this drill in another thread? In that one you said "I'm from Massachusetts but I was looking to relocate pretty much anywhere. I'm just looking for some insight into any helpful programs throughout the states. "Now you have focused on Florida. Swamp, you may have a friend here, although she may be more suited for the Key West School of Welding. Reply:Yees, I mean theoretically I could go anywhere. I don't have ties anywhere but Massachusetts. Though I do have a few friends in the south west area of Florida so I figured any leads would be helpful.
