This is the portable welding table that I finished up this weekend. It would have been nice to have a larger permanent table but my space was limited. The framework is 1.5x1.5x.125 steel tube. The folding legs are locked in with the 1x1 angle. The top is 5/16" thick and 22x24. I don't do any heavy fabrication just home hobby work so it is plenty stable. I did add some 16" tall sides out of sheet metal for when I am practicing TIG outside. My only disappointment is that the center of the plate is about 1/16-3/32 lower than the edges. I'm not sure how this could have habbened allthough it may have been that way before welding. I only put a couple of 1" long tacks on the edges just in case it had to be replaced. There is a center support so would'nt the heat from the tacks have pulled the outter edge down and made the center higher? Any comments are welcome. Attached ImagesTOO MANY TOOLS & NO MORE SPACE

Reply:A set of wheels or casters on two (tip and move) or all four would be nice so you could move it around a bit if you wanted. I know you made it fold-up for portability, but being able to move it some would help, and scooting those legs would be a pain in the a$$.I know what you mean about small jobs. I have a piece of 1/4" sheet, 1ft. x 2 ft. that I sometimes throw on my workbench or outside table for quickie jobs not in the shop area.
Reply:Gamble, The legs are the ones that the farmers market guys use and they set into the angle. The top lifts off and slides in between my tool boxes. I'll post a picture of it stored away. I know the holder is for a mig gun, we had one at work and I thought the same thing but it actually worked pretty good for the torch.Shortfuse, I will have to look into that because it is a bit of a pain to move. Thanks for the comments.TOO MANY TOOLS & NO MORE SPACE
