Pics of the welds are on a bumper for a friends rock crawler. It will house a 8274 winch behind it eventually. The press brake I have been collecting parts for a little while. I had originally built one out of angle iron and round tube. It worked for bigger stuff but you could not use if for anything shorter than around 4 inches. This one works much better for the short stuff. Made a small error in my calculations for where the upper spring mounts needed to be, so I had to add the spacers. Attached Images
Reply:Nice, did you grind the bevel on the press brake yourself, or have it machined? I'm collecting the pieces to build one myself. Also, could you post a few more pics of the V-die? Is it one piece, or something you welded up yourself? Thanks,GarLincoln Electric, Power MIG 256Hypertherm Powermax 45 Miller Dynasty 280DXSmith O/A torchGenesis of a welding table
Reply:A friend of mine is a hobby machinest, so he machined the die and shoe for me. We trade welding and machine projects on a regular basis. I will take some pics of it this week and get them posted up.
