Hi, New to Welding, bought a used Jackson EQC, seems to work fine but if it sits "on" but not "used" for a period it starts to get dots of various sizes in the field of view. The Dots go away with turning the unit on an off. What do you think?Broken? Some sort of "on but unused" indicator function? Thanks, AlwaysTrying, but I'm starting to wonder why.
Reply:I've owned a Nexgen for probably close to 10 years. In the "off" state, the darker dots have always been present.ESAB Migmaster 250 Hobart Ironman 230Multimatic 215TWECO Fabricator 181i & 211iHH125EZ - nice little fluxcore only unitMaxstar 150 STH - very nice
Reply:I have 2 of the Boss helmets and that's the way they are. I believe its to let you know it isn't on .
Reply:I owned one for several years that's normal.
