Well, it took two long, beer filled days and nights, but she's finally done! Going to add paint soon, just thought I'd throw up some pics of it soon after completion! It measured out at EXACTLY 10 feet long . Surprisingly, it cruises along like a dream, very happy with the final outcome.Used 1.5" .095 wall tubing for it, and a LOT of planning to make everything work right. Hope you enjoy!Have a Jeep Cherokee? Click Here!

Reply:oh yes!!! i do like that, i think I've just discovered my next project!
Reply:How it turn? With that much rake your wheel will flop over side to side instead of turning. Have fun riding. I helped a friend with a similar one in highschool, it was interesting to ride.Lincoln PowerMIG 215XTLincoln Precision TIG 225Hypertherm 300
Reply:Turning it DOES take some practice, and it's not very good at sharp turns, but it isn't so bad that it's dangerous, it's surprisingly easy to ride with just a few minutes of seat time!Have a Jeep Cherokee? Click Here!
Reply:Nice chopper, i see no brakes though ! what color is it gonna be ?did you use old bike parts for the seat post tube, the crankset tube and the tube where you put the steering / fork ?
Reply:Interesting prototype! We need to hook you up with a good pipe and tubing bender! Looks like a real pedal scraper too, careful not to ride barefoot! With that ten foot stretch, does it feel a bit of springy? Last edited by tanglediver; 03-31-2008 at 04:43 PM.City of L.A. Reply:That's an impressively long bike. Probably qualify for Guiness Book of World Records. How about adding one or two gusset plates as shown in pic, below? This would stiffen the axle mounting, etc.http://weldingweb.com/attachment.php...1&d=1207011352 Attached ImagesBlackbird

Reply:Yep, Dave, the gussets are coming. One exactly where you put the red mark, and then some HEAVY plate on the top of the forks where the silver new stuff hits the black, cruddy stuff (bending very easily it turns out lol). Good eye, and thanks for the advice! Have a Jeep Cherokee? Click Here!

Reply:With that coaster brake and weight distribution you should be able to lock up the rear hub and squeal to a stop. Have you tried it yet? I, always, thought it was a blast to squeal and lay a strip while stopping with the coaster brake on my first LWB bent.
Reply:Here's mine it's not as long as yours. That doesn't sound right does it i am changing the rear to a 13inch car wheel and tire this summer to give it some width. i'll be posting pics when i make the change and how i do it. Attached Images

Reply:A couple more. My attitude is if you can't ride them, then change the design or don't build them. Somehow I didn't get a lot of pictures after they were painted. I need to look for them. Attached Images

Reply:Skwerly, what a neat project and nicely done. My brother in law kinda did one, but fell way short compared to yours. He did retrofit a 5hp briggs engine on his and it runs well. Reply:Great man really great I freaking love it! A taller front wheel would set it of even sicker, and get the bottom rail of the frame sitting level, and really blow it out for the detail eyed chopper guys. Just my 2cents and only that! All the Harleys I have built in the past always ran 16" wheels in the back and 21" front wheels in the front. Don't get mad at me, just my opinion in a beauty contest, but great job!
