I have looked all over and cannot find a circle/hole cutting guide that bolts to my torch. it has a sharp pointer that sets in a punch hole, and it holds the torch while you cut.Any leads appreciated.Perry
Reply:I should have said, it holds the torch steady while you cut out a circle.
Reply:This is the one for my Hypertherm plasma TORCH.http://store.weldersource.com/hycicugu.htmlBut you really didn't indicate brand preference or even whether for plasma or fuelgas torch.Last edited by 69 chevy; 02-29-2008 at 01:06 PM.
Reply:I have a store bought one but mostly use one that is made from a split bolt with a piece of rod welded to it and sharpened..... easy to make.
Reply:$110, no thanks, I'll build one.
Reply:flange wizard, chariot guide, just bought one but haven't had a chance to use it yet
Reply:Before acetylene bottles came with hand wheels we used to build them out of bottle wrenches and a piece of keystock with a nut welded on one end. I can't remember the last time I saw a bottle wrench.

Reply:Heres one I made for my plasma cutter. I don't know what the telescoping rod was to begin with, I found it in a buddy's scrap pile. The base is a speaker magnet with a bearing epoxied on top. The rod is epoxied to the bearing. It will cut circles from around 6" diameter to 6' in diameter.Miller EconotigCutmaster 38Yes ma'am, that IS a screwdriver in my pocket! |
