The athletes do hand stand push ups, dips, L sits and other stuff on these. Simple build. I made 4 sets or 8 parallettes. The square tube is 2x2 11 gauge. The tubing is 1.75 14 gauge range (I forget). Total height is 12. A bit of a learning curve using the bender but there was a min. of waste/scrap. Shoe for scale.I paid $94 out the door for 20 of tubing Is this price high? Attached ImagesDave ReberWadsworth Ohio
Reply:I pay a very high price for precision DOM tubing with a 3/16 wall, but your price seems high.I buy from these guys http://www.fleischertube.com/about.html, and they will sell less than 20', but have a minimum shipping fee, or order amount, I can't remember which it's been so long. Last order set me back a ton of money for 5 different sizes. But it was cheaper by the foot in the long run as opposed to buying It locally.........if you could find it"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/

Reply:For the round stuff, you could try 1-1/4" pipe, fairly cheap and most steel outfits sell a lot of it, it's the standard size for handrails. Same for the 2x2x.120...Dougspair |
