I have been lurking on the site and looking to buy a welder for a long time now. I check ebay a lot to see what kind of used machines are for sale around the area and there are 3 I am watching right now.Econotig:http://cgi.ebay.com/Miller-Econotig-...QQcmdZViewItemMM210:http://cgi.ebay.com/miller-millermat...QQcmdZViewItemESAB Tig:http://cgi.ebay.com/TIG-STICK-welder...QQcmdZViewItemI have no experience but can't make up my mind if I want to get a tig or mig. I know the advantages and disadvantages of both, and that a mig is probably better for a beginner. However, these machines are in my price range at the moment, <$1000.What looks like the best deal? Opinions on any?Last edited by RacerTim; 04-04-2008 at 03:55 PM.
Reply:All good machines - great for a home shop and good price range. The E-tig on ebay is an older unit, mine is much newer and for sale. http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...ewpost&t=20556John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:Is there much of a difference between the newer and older ones? |
