Reply:You can chrome almost anything.  Do you know what it's made out of?  Hopefully steel and not some sort of pot metal or other die cast stuff.How thin is it, using a dime or something else to reference it to?I couldn't see the break.  Was it at a joint?And as mentioned, where are you?

Reply:Weezer, see if there are any trade schools or union training schools near your home that teach welding, take it to them and ask for their help. The school I attend gets many small jobs like yours and we are almost always able to help. Keep trying, John H.

If your near worcester that's only forty five min. north of me. But I'd be happy to run a bead around It for you. Just through me a couple bucks for argon, and wire, labor will be free for that because I just found this realy cool forum and it's time for happy holidays.For that matter If you can catch me in the morning on my way out to work and give me a couple bucks for gas. I'll meet you at a rest area on 395 and do it right there I have a twenty foot van set as a full mobile fab shop.
