I'm looking for an All-State Jet Fluxer. Anybody have one just gathering dust, not used anymore or simply don't want? I'll take it off your hands, let me know what you want for it. Of course, I'd like one that's usable and in fairly good shape. Thanks, Chuck
Reply:Is this some kind of oxyacetylene brazing torch that introduces powdered flux into the gas/flame stream?
Reply:I just saw one on Ebay: Gasflux Co. #69 gas fluxer. I don't know if you can use this since it's a different mfg. If you're interested there's 1 day 3 hours left on it. It's at $66.00 with a couple of bids. Look for Reliable Tool Store. He's located in Irwindale, Ca., and seems like his stuff is always in good shape. ----------------john
Reply:pulsar, it introduces a liquid flux to the acetylene before the torch, the acetylene "bubbles" through the liquid flux, at low pressures, negating the need for messy powder fluxes and their clean-up.john,thanks for the tip, I'll go check it out. |
