Quick attach stinger

I dont do a lot of smaw.  I mostly do mig, flux core & some tig.  I put a Dinse connector on the end of my stinger.  Now I can easily keep it a tool box. Reply:While I can appreciate the ingenuity involved I personally don't think I'd like using it.  It looks to me like you've made that stinger heavier and more akward to manipulate.

Reply:That will work. I have about 6' of # 3 cable on my stinger and a cable lug on the other. I just clamp the lug into the big a$$ 400 amp holders the shop sends out.
Reply:that stinger rig looks like it would get heavy fast. especially welding overhead with the larger diameter electrodes. i would add a 10 ft length of the lightest gauge cable suitable to  the rods you're burning. this won't fit in your toolbox but your arms,neck and shoulders will thank you.i.u.o.e. # 15queens, ny and sunny fla
