Wow I welded some parts that weren't aluminum

Reply:purdy durn beefy food machine.   What is that  - half inch and 5/8 thick bar stock? Nice looking.When you weld any particular grade of SST is there anything you have to do to  protect the metal from  having all sorts of heat related issues like carbide precipitation and  flashing off the chrome oxide layer?
