Regulator leaks through badly regardless of output pressure setting including turned all the way off (using on CO2 bottle). Is it worthwhile to try to rebuild it? Or just replace it? Regulator is about 20 years old.
Reply:If parts are still available it is pretty reasonable to get them rebuilt there is nothing the wrong with old.I just had my 2 Victor 450's rebuilt for $30.00 each and they are both as good as new and look like it also . look and see what replacements cost and you will be surprised . good luck chris
Reply:Another thing I forgot to ask, does it help the life of the regulator to unscrew the pressure set screw (relieve all pressure from the regulator) when the unit is not in use? I normally just shut the valve at the bottle connection, but do not change the regulator setting.

Reply:Almost always less expensive to have your regulator and torch rebuilt. Good shops won't fix them if it's not cost effective for the customerwww.triarc.us
