Large brazing rods

I have a box of brazing rods that I have had for about 15 years now. I know welding supplies have gone up and was wondering if anyone could tell me how much they are worth. They are 5/16 in. in diameter. 36 in. long. I have about 50 sticks and I havent used any for a long time.  They are big for welding on small stuff but I bought them for a different project. I hope I have this in the right place. Thanks Harold

Reply:I guess not sure of alloy. Box was bad couldnt find anything on it.  Bare rods.
Reply:I guess nobody uses big brazing rods. Guess I will build a 3 ft windmill out of some of them.
Reply:Large brazing rods are pretty much a lot art now days. I do use them but not in large quantities. Reply:If you ever get into a propeller shop that does big bronze wheels, they use pretty good sized stuff (1/2 square or maybe a bit bigger)Experience is something you get right after you need it
Reply:Irish fixit. I have no way of knowing what these are. I bought them for repairing aerators that needed a 5/16 rod about 12 inches long. I just ordered the cheap regular rods. I had to order a full box to get them that size .
Reply:Likely low fuming brass but no way of really knowing. The only way I would know is if I tried using them on cast iron.
