Reply:My son likes to call it my "welding hat," but I refer to it as my helmet. He's three, but we have had this discussion already. Here is his reasoning: A hood is attached to a shirt or jacket, so it's not a hood. A helmet protects your head from being hit, so it it's not a helmet. Finally, Captain America has a shield, and my welding hat looks nothing like Captain America's shield. With all of that great logic behind his argument, 3 year olds are nearly always wrong.
