Reply:It's my understanding that if the tool is stamped Craftsman, it's guaranteed for life.  Those tools stamped with Sears, are not.
Reply:We scribe our name on all our tools be there Craftsman , MAC, Snap-on. I have never had a problem returning any "Craftsman" tool even if our name was scribed on the tool. Same with Snap-On and Mac. Tools that have the Sears or Champion name are a different story.I recently returned a Kobalt Tape Measure back to Lowe's. That tool also has a lifetime warranty.
