Reply:Try around 60 amps
Reply:If you have trouble blowing through, you might try DCEN. It should give less penetration.

Reply:My chart on 3/32" 6011 shows 40-90 amps AC, 40-80 amps DC..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we'll ever see on this earth! Ronald Reagan
Reply:For 1/8", I believe your welds will look nicer with your original choice of 6013's and DC- polarity.  6013's will burn a hole right through 1/8" thick steel too if you run it slower and/or hotter on the settings.  The only reason to switch from 6013's to 6011's for thin 1/8" in my opinion, is if your welding dirty, rusty or painted steel.  Then  the 6011's might be a little easier to weld.   Otherwise, I think you'll quickly go back to 6013's.Lincoln Power Mig 216Lincoln AC/DC-225/125Miller  625 X-Treme PlasmaMiller 211 Forney 95FI-A 301HF 91110Victor Journeyman O/PMilwaukee DaytonMakita  Baileigh NRA Life Member
Reply:Did some 1/8" overhead lap joints yesterday with various rods to see what I liked better for an upcoming "job" (for my brother).  "Job" is code word for "goofing off in the shop" All on DCEP3/32 6011 - 70 amps:  whip-and-pause without long arcing on the whip, more like forward-and-back1/8 6013 - 105 amps:  same as 60111/8 7014 - 125 amps:  small "U" patternAll performed to expectation on such thin metal and worked just fine.6011 ran nice - puddle was super clear and easy to watch.6013 was very smooth, slag popped off in one piece, easy to weld with.7014 was pretty close to the 6013, could have used more amps but was about right for the thickness of steel.Hope that helps Dave J.Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.
Reply:+1 on the 6013 or 7014 rods.Miller Multimatic 255
