Plasma cam or torchmate witch is better and why
Reply:PlasmaCam. Only because I have one and it was easy to learn. However since I bought the all inclusive, easy to learn kit with no options, you need to piece the package together yourself, which is utterly idiotic. Get advice not from a salesman first. And couple with Hypertherm cutter.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.
Reply:I have a p-cam as well. I agree if you get one get as many features as possible right off the bat. Yes it is expensive but it is twice as much to try and upgrade after the fact. P-cam wants $1000 for pretty much every software upgrade, even the metric conversion After you give all your money to P-cam like mentioned it is fairly easy to learn and use. Parts for the table aren't to badly priced. They work well right out of the box. Also like mentioned p-cam and hypertherm work together when designing their stuff so naturally they work best together.12v battery, jumper cables, and a 6013.I only have a facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/pages/VPT/244788508917829
Reply:Whatever you get, make sure you get torch height control, design software, support, and at least a 4x table.

Reply:I have owned PlasmaCam machines for 16 years. Reliable, easy to learn, easy to use. The latest design Edge software is a great time saver....and the advanced height control improves quality of cut and consumable life....and allows you to walk away while it is cutting. I use a machine torch on both of my current machines with a magnetic breakaway mount.Jim Colt
Reply:Arclight Dynamics.Machines come turnkey (was cutting within an hour of delivery), Torch Height control is standard, water table is standard, software is easy to learn/use, magnetic torch mount is standard (although I recommend upgrading to a Snap 'n Cut mount), customer service is outstanding.
Reply:I have a small torchmate growth series machine. I got mine for a real good price. The prices have gone up since Lincoln Electric bought out Torchmate. It is easy to use. I purchased the Torchmate cad s/w with it.The growth series machines are not what I would call industrial units. The stepper drive motors are one way communication with the pc.I wouldn't hesitate to buy a 4x4 non growth series Torchmate. Their customer support with includes cad support is lifetime with the machine.JasonLincoln Idealarc 250 stick/tigThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 52Miller Bobcat 250Torchmate CNC tableThermal Arc Hefty 2Ironworkers Local 720 |
