Reply:I think you did alright. I've found the handle on the cheap ones will bend as you get close to full load on it. I have a Dayton sold by WW Grainger, I've put everything I can on it pulling "immoveable objects" and it still performs as good as the day I bought it. One tip: never, ever put a cheater on it!!! Another is don't ever drop it, the ratcheting system is delicate in that respect and won't tolerate much abuse. Reply:I've got a Maasdam, and agree completely.I've used it to pull a Volvo with brakes completely frozen and rusted shut, anchored to an Explorer's hitch. Dragged all four wheels over some bumps before they started to break free one at a time.Very useful to have. |
