Is there any light weight gloves that are great with heat I have some heavy welding leather gloves but hate wearing there just to big I'm 80% of the time running 7018 rod and wear regular leather gloves but I'm fixing to start splicing h pile and running 5/32 rod things get a little hot in regular gloves  so I didn't know what was out there that's light and more manageable to work in but gives good heat protection.? Thanks
Reply:I've spliced lots of h pile with regular thick welding gloves. Is the company paying for them?
Reply:I love the tillman 50xl's, dexterous, and heavy dutyMiller Spoolmate 200 w/t S-52 WirefeederMM 211'09 Miller Trailblazer 302
Reply:Radnor blue or the black and whhite heavy duty millers. Radnors are better and cheaper IMO
Reply:No I'm paying for them
Reply:Zap first, now I, use the OVE GLOVE. A little bulky, silicone on the surface, made of Nomex, and Kevlar. Fits perfectly, and is very flexible. An optimist is usually wrong, and when the unexpected happens is unprepared. A pessimist is usually right, when wrong, is delighted, and well prepared.
Reply:Read some of the reviews and comments on the OVE GLOVE on Amazon. There are lots of fakes being sold as being OVE GLOVES.  One customer posted a 5 min. video showing the differences in the authentic ones and the fakes.  Three quick things that distinguish the fakes are (1) there is no tag on the inside of the wrist on the fakes, (2) the fakes are packaged in a plastic bag in the box and there is no registration card and (3) the fakes often have a black band on the wrist.  There were several other distinguishing "marks" on the packaging that indicated they were fake knockoffs.  The biggest problem with the fakes is that they are thinner and less heat resistant than the authentic ones.
Reply:I use these religiously. Great for tig, mig and stick. Attached Images
Reply:I use the black stallions, the black ones. I learned to not use my off hand to hold the rod, so I don't burn up a pair of gloves daily.. We never buy our gloves, but I still treat it like I do.
