Penetration crosscut

Reply:Yeah I don't need the hastle of getting another form of acid i did a search and a guy used heat and muriatic with great results. Reply:Muratic will work but is not the first choice.  Check the % on the bottle but I am betting there is a good chance you will not have to dillute.  The concentration that was used in the recent thread on here to do the mill scale removal would take a VERY long time if it did work.  I did one recently and I was using a 28% solution straight from the bottle and it took roughly 10 minutes submerged to get the results I was looking for.  When they say polished though it means just that.  Mirror shine finish.....not 80 grit sand paper.  Good luck!

Reply:I just bought 2 gals. of muriatic acid at Home Depot.  Still 31.45% according to the lable.I got mine back in the garden/pool supply area.  They only sold it in cases of 2 ea. 1 gal. jugs, not individual jugs or bottles.
