Hello,I bought a "Smith Equipment Proportional Gas Mixer 299-016-1B Argon & CO2" on eBay. I later found that this is a high flow industrial type of gas mixer and I'm a home MIG welder with an Ironman 230. This gas mixer requires inlet pressure of around 100 PSI. To provide this pressure, I grabbed two used high pressure regulators (Smith HB2130-580/HB1530-580 which the specs list can deliver the pressure needed). However, I am concerned about the output pressure. Is the 50 PSI too low to run into a flowmeter Victor HRF 2480 and then out to the MIG welder? The specs on the Victor HRF 2480 state that the Outlet pressure is preset to 80 PSIG. However the mixer is only putting out 50 PSI. But the flow rate seems like it will work. Any thoughts or advice on this?The mixer specs are:"Outlet Pressure Without Flow PSIG/Bar" as 50 psi with Flow Rate 20 to 700 SCFH, 9.4 to 330 LPM.
