Which is the better grinding wheel thickness for a 15 amp 7 inch angle grinder, 1/8 or 1/4, I will mostly be grinding slag for torch cutting and on BIG projects, if that makes a differenceMiller Dialarc 250Miller Bobcat 225Hobart Oxy/FuelCouple of Dewalt and Milwaukee GrindersJET Bandsaw and Drill Press
Reply:For most grinding the 1/4" is a good choice. If you were doing notching or other grinding with the edge of the wheel 1/8" often works better than 1/4".
Reply:1/4" for sure.Just a couple welders, big hammers, grinders, and torches.Work will free you.Men in dirty jeans built this country, while men in clean suits have destroyed it. Trump/Carson 2016-2024
Reply:Like stated the 1/8 is for using the edge as to grind the root pass on pipe , some 1/8 '' wheels state on them for edge use only not flat grinding. 1/4'' on a big grind does the job done quickly. |
