I got a pair of  BSX black  cloves.  They are supple enough bot leave black stain on my hands and they are heat magnets. What do you do to beat the heat? White gloves like Lincoln'sHey~!! It's a hobby. It's not supposed to make sense~!!
Reply:I wear Tillman 30M gloves for tig. They still get hot..They are tig gloves, the burning means its working. After a few blisters you will find ways to prevent them most of the time, but you will get uncomfotably hot sometimes. Theres no way around the heat. Get used to it, your welding. Airco Ac/Dc 300 HeliwelderMillerMatic 200 (stolen)Miller Maxstar 150STLMiller AEAD200LE (welding and generating power) Hobart MIG
Reply:I used the BSX black gloves too.  I like them, they are almost like batting gloves, and it gives me great control over the filler wire and tig torch..  As for heat, sometimes you can't be a Pu$$y. lol
Reply:Black tillman onyx are good until they shrink. Other than those, the standard tillman gloves work good. I don't care for their leather ones.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
Reply:Black Tillman onyx for me too. If your bothered by the heat, try recycling an old set of leathers by using a piece to rest your hand on. I do this on odd shaped parts where I have to prop my hand on the piece I'm welding. It don't make your hand fireproof, but sometimes it's enough to get that extra inch you need to finish without stopping. And remember, welding in controlled melting of metal. Get used to the heat
Reply:Work buys me these.[ame]http://www.amazon.com/Steiner-0260L-Ironflex-Gloves-Kidskin/dp/B0034RZNFI[/ame]Love them! They are double padded right on the heel of the hand, really helps with the heat while sliding your hand along the work piece. If you cant fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem."Boy, everyone starts with a full bag of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before the bag of luck is empty."-Grandad circa 1990ish
Reply:Ill give some shamless free advertisement to the guy at weldingtipsandtricks.com. His "TIG finger," is really a neat product. Once you get used to it, it can really help you beat the heat.

Reply:The tilman tig gloves suck nuts and always tear at the thumb/palm stitch. People at tilman apparently don't know what a hand is shaped like.I now use Miller tig gloves, they literally last 2-3 times longer and cost only a few dollars more, you're getting alot more for your money. MUCH better build quality and comfort, double stitched unlike tilmans. http://www.weldfabulous.com/p-20093-...ves-large.aspxWelding/Fab Pics: www.UtahWeld.com

Reply:http://jtillman.com/products/gloves/mig/48/I use these. For everything except flux core, then I run a stick glove on my left hand and one of these on my right. I've been through 3 pairs of them so far, I love them!
Reply:I wear two different gloves, a mig glove on my torch hand and a tillman tig glove on my filler hand.I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
Reply:I've been using tigsters. It seems to be a good balance between dexterity and heat protection and they are available in XXL which is a plus for me.

Reply:Cool.  So the most heat reflective glove out there appears to be white augmented by the little heat shield that Jody sells.I did a search for heat reflective glove  instead of using phrases like TIG or welding and found  quite a selection of silvered gloves. None looked particularly close fitting like a TIG glove In the spirit of  "Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained," I'm going to try something goofy.I  have some highly reflective spray paint. Mine is  gold but there's a silver too. I'm gonna spray paint a leather work glove and see if the reflective paint ( a) doesn't burn off, (b) doesn't flake off,  and of course (c) reflects substantial heat.Hey~!! It's a hobby. It's not supposed to make sense~!!

Reply:I found these http://www.akka.ca/eng/gloves/heat-r.../GTAC_D27.htmlResist 250 C under $10.00  & don't look too clumsy Today I grabbed some silver aluminized heat shield material with a PSA adhesive backing and wrapped some of it around the fingers of my TIG gloves.
