Im tinking about moving up to a auto darkening helmet with a grind and/or cut mode. What do yall think about a Miller Digital Pro-Hobby or if you have any suggestionsMiller Dialarc 250Miller Bobcat 225Hobart Oxy/FuelCouple of Dewalt and Milwaukee GrindersJET Bandsaw and Drill Press
Reply:Miller's rebate on their Miller Digital Elite Auto Darkening Welding Helmet just ended last month. Here's my local supplier for price comparison .http://www.weldersupply.com/C/32/HelmetsI love the Miller I have, a AD hood is really great for on the spot welding , you can't miss.If you want to upgrade on machines, Miller does have a current  rebate , http://www.millerwelds.com/landing/build-with-blue/
Reply:I have a snap-on welding helmet with all the bells and whistle on it and it works great however it over priced. My coworker has a miller with all the same features and works just as good but it was $50 cheaper than my snap on one.Facebook=captain93ronInstagram=captain93ronSnapchat=captain93ronYouTube=captainron93
Reply:I love my speedglas.   Works for anything I need to ever do.  Paid just under 240 shipped and I don't regret it once so ever.
Reply:I think this one is a better choice for the moneyhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/Miller-25615...item20eb57e1fawww.georgesplasmacuttershop.comPlasma Cutter and Welder Sales and Repairs--Ebay storeTec.Mo. Dealer Consumables for the PT and IPT torch's
Reply:I hear the HTP helmets are the best for clarity, but I haven't tried one yet. I have a Jackson WH-40 smart-TIGer, with Balder technology, and quite honestly it is the clearest helmet I have ever used. I have a bunch of harbor freight and tractor supply helmets that are not even in the same ball park for clarity. They are just crap compared to the Jackson. And the Jackson was <$100 on Amazon.Miller Multimatic 255
Reply:I like the Miller Pro-Hobby FS-#10.  Been using it for years.  The cover plates are an odd size.  So I just buy them 5 or 10 at a time.  I see Airgas curently has them for $89 + tax here.  Ebay is about the same total cost.My name's not Jim....
Reply:I looked at the pro-hobby and opted for the digital performance. Same basic design, just different viewing window.  Love the helmet.Multimatic 200Ellis 1800Haberle S225 9" cold sawMM 300;  Spoolmate 30A w/ WC-24TB 302GDynasty 280 DX Tigrunner

Reply:I just bought a Lincoln 3350 and I  like it. Does everything you mentioned well. I can't compare to a new helmet of any kind and never had a miller, but I replaced a 15 year old Jackson and I had a couple speedglass at the same time. This one is much better than any of those, but they are all 15 years old too.Yeah, I know, but it'll be ok!Lincoln Square wave 255Miller Vintage mig30a spoolgunThermal Dynamics Pacmaster 100xl plasmaSmith mc torchEllis 1600 band saw
Reply:I use a Harbor Freight Auto Darkening helmet, it works well for the little bit I weld. I am afraid to try one of the "Top Grade" helmets, I just might like it better.I offer three choices: Good, Fast, & Cheap. Reply:I use a 3M speedglas with grind mode, like it a lot.Old enough to know better, young enough to try it anyway.
