I needed 3 deskstands for a tradeshow. I bent them out of 3/16" steel plate so they could "spoon" together in the exhibit crate, saving space. To bend one of the angles past 90 degrees, I first bent the angle in a 90 die on my 20 ton press. I then clamped a thin piece of .250 bar to the lip of one side of the die, thus making an acute angle. I then repressed the plate to get the overbend. I drilled holes for the VESA plate on the back of the monitor. The screws are M4 x 12mm. I spray painted them with flat black primer.Make sure you use "IPS" type LCD monitors, not TN type. IPS has a 178 H/V specification. This will provide excellent viewing angles regardless of the monitors orientation.
