Hey guys hope everything is good with yall. Look i love these headliners for my hood that has the rubber strap in the back, but after a bit they break. Was wondering if once a week if I put armor all on it would that make it last longer. Anyone know or have any ideas on something else.
Reply:I think what you are talking about is the rubber surgical tubing for the strap. You can get some of this at Red Ball Medical Supply on North Market St. in Shreveport. I'm not sure Armor-All would make it last any longer, but it's worth a try I guess. If it doesn't. you now know where to go to get replacement. Just pick up a roll of it, and replace it as necessary.
Reply:I don't think armor all preserves anything. I think it only shortens the lifespan of anything you put it on. I went fishing w/ the guy who invented it in the seventies. He had a cabin a few doors down from my cousin at lake arrowhead. Everyone bought it for there vinyl tops, dash boards and tires back then. then everthing started cracking prematurely
Reply:Armorall is junk. To protect rubber, use what rafters use: 303 Aerospace Protectant.Works great, I used it on 3 old rafts, but costs alot more than a handful of replacement bands.** I know, its a hoaky name, but it is time tested and proven.Lincoln SA 200Esab Caddy 160Thermal Arc 201TSMiller Dialarc HFI don't like making plans for the day because then the word "premeditated" gets thrown around the courtroom.... |
