thermal arc fabricator 130?

I have a chance to buy a thermal arc fabricator 130 for $200.00 and I was wondering if this is a good deal? I understand all of the limitations of a 115v welder but I am a home user and will be doing mostly auto sheet metal and up to 11 gauge or so building a squat rack. I have read that most home gym equipment is built from 11 gauge square tube. Before anyone comments, I am not a pro welder but I do understand cold welds, penetration/fusion, single/multi pass, preheating, duty cycle, etc. I will be using GMAW on the sheet and FCAW on the heavier stuff and I weld currently as a hobbyist. I also understand that a 230v welder is always preferred but I don't want to invest that much in a home welder that will see very light usage.Is this a good machine? Is the price fair given the age of the model?How thick could I reliably weld with preheating and/or multi-pass? Thank you

Reply:Its probably a fair price but 130 amps is not much. 11 gauge is probably the very upper limit for this machine.Miller Multimatic 255
Reply:I believe its a made in Italy machine and the gun has a brass back end. Much better than the other ones that came out of the same factory. Reply:Thanks for the replies. Would you all say that it is comparable to a lincoln SP-135 and hobart handler 140?
Reply:Ya about there. The hobart is about the 3rd best 110v machine you can buy in my opinion.
