Today i went to Lowe's looking for a solution to hang lawn equipment..... while there.... some lady with HUGE boobs (that's really all I remember....) talked to me about garage organization.......After staring at BOOBS for a few minutes.... I left..... deciding I could build a solution out of scrap........Back home.... I found the scrap I had in mind........The goal was to lop off the part no longer needed and put the other two parts on...... As a result.... I found many imperfections in the original project from almost a year ago......Anyway.... I tacked the new pieces on to the plate and once square.... I welded those puppies......It was nice get some T-joint practice again.... especially in the hard to reach 2" middle parts.....Next Post......Precision TIG 185 and MP 210Bobcat 225NTCutmaster 42O/A tanks.... 2 Argon tanks...... 2 C25 TanksFacebook...... Reply:So once i got it all welded out.... i let it cool.....Since i was using left over stuff anyway in order to save the $9 Lowes wanted for the same thing made by the hands of Chinese Children.... I found some Black Hammered Paint I had left over from another project.........From here I found the stud on the wall and mounted the darn thing........This is the junk I wanted off the floor.......And the final result...... all the crap has a place off the floor........ saved myself a few bucks and made use of some more scrap.......Precision TIG 185 and MP 210Bobcat 225NTCutmaster 42O/A tanks.... 2 Argon tanks...... 2 C25 TanksFacebook...... Reply:Sorry FEX forgot to mention, great job! I wish I had a nearby friend like you to help me organize. If you saw the way I store stuff you would puke. Sad part is as i'm doing it I think it's great. Until I realize it has turned into a pile of sh!t where I can't find anything, then I find a new spot to do the same thing. Insanity=repeating the same motions over and over, and expecting different results. Yup brother, that would be me. LOL I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys

Reply:You do realize that it is a statistical certainty that every time you need a tool, it WILL be the LAST one back against the wall. At least that's how it would work out for me...Other than that, you mentioned boobs... sorry... forgot what I was going to say...
Reply:Like baddog said, the first thing you will need is that shovel way at the back.My name's not Jim....

Reply:Nice use of scrap.Sounds like you made some fond mammaries ... I mean memories ... at Lowe's. Here's an old picture (2005) of what I came up with for hanging up the lawn tools. Just a length of 2x4 up on the wall and then some long 1/4-20 bolts sticking into the 2x4 at a slight angle.Looking at old pictures of the basement and garage makes me wonder where all the space went... Reply:I know it's too late to suggest anything, but I would have rotated those pieces 90 degrees so that the holes at the end faced each other. That would have allowed you to run a pin through it to keep stuff from working its way off the end. Another suggestion for future reference is some stuff I used on my restoration. It's called Plastic Metal, made by Bondo and sold at Wally World. Great for filling in small imperfections like those pits around where the round rod was sitting, before you painted it. It sets in minutes and comes in handy.Great job and ingenuity! Thanks for sharing. Papap.s. Reply:Once I build another storage shed I'll be able to park two cars in the garage again. Right now the quads take up to much room for both cars, but the sedan does fit. I like to consider my garage and shop to be fairly organized. the garage is worse than the shop at this point. but I think I'll be doing something about that later this week. Luckily for me this will make the big booded woman very happy and I might get to play with them. "gigity" I use a mobile cart to store my shovels and rakes, keeps them off the wall, easily accessable, and in a condensed area. There are no problems. There are only solutions.
